Drugs are a charged subject everywhere. They’re a “hot button” topic. Everyone has a strong opinion, often irrational, that seems to come from deep in the most reactive recesses of their collective minds.
The US federal government classifies marijuana as a Schedule I drug. Heroin and LSD are in the same category. That’s ridiculous.
Just imagine what we would know – how many sick people could have been helped, their pain alleviated – if the state hadn’t basically inhibited research into this plant going all the way back to the 1930s.
