About International Man
The problem — your problem — is that any country can turn into a 1970s Rhodesia. Or a Russia in the ‘20s, Germany in the ‘30s, China in the ‘40s, Cuba in the ‘50s, the Congo in the ‘60s, Vietnam in the ‘70s, Afghanistan in the ‘80s, Bosnia in the ‘90s. These are just examples off the top of my head. Only a fool tries to survive by acting like a vegetable, staying rooted to one place, when the political and economic climate changes for the worse.“
Doug Casey has said over and over that spreading your political risk beyond a single jurisdiction is the most important thing he can recommend today.
In short, international diversification is prudent because it frees you from absolute dependence on any one country.
Achieve that freedom, and it becomes very difficult for any country to control your destiny.
Join and you’ll gain access to a veritable treasure trove of information.
Including Doug Casey’s exclusive special report on exactly how you can protect yourself from an out-of-control government, country guides, and the very popular IM Communiqué. Click here to get access now, all at no cost.
There are 4 broad areas of internationalization.
1. Savings: This area covers how to setup offshore bank/brokerage/financial accounts, foreign real estate and “bolt-holes” in case of trouble, moving and owning gold overseas, and structures like foreign trusts that help to legally reduce taxes.
2. Yourself: Obtaining a second passport from another country and establishing legal residency in foreign countries.
3. Income: The structuring of your cash flows to reduce dependency on any one source in any one jurisdiction. Establishing additional sources of revenue, international investment opportunities and trends, setting up an offshore company.
4. Digital Presence: This commonly includes your IP address (which can often pinpoint you to a precise physical address), email account, online file storage, and the components of personal/business websites.
International Man has its roots in the book of the same name first published in 1978 by best-selling author, speculator and renowned world-traveler Doug Casey. You can still find it on Amazon by clicking here.
The original intent of that book was to give readers a general sense of the exciting and opportunity-rich world that lay outside of their national borders. With a review of over 100 countries of the day, he shared valuable “opportunity intelligence” and the resources that anyone could follow to realize these opportunities.
Even though the book is now markedly out-of-date, the need for such information is more relevant than ever. As the Western world continues to decline and the East continues its great climb upwards, much of what we know as fact is becoming obsolete.
New opportunities and new challenges are popping up on a weekly, daily and even hourly basis. International Man is there to help guide you through it.
